A bean variety named Salewski's Ungarn was donated to the A4a seed circle in 2020. It's an attractive bean but in my garden it struggled a little and wasn't very productive.

Bohnen-Atlas has a mixed variety called Salewski's Ungarische, with three distinct forms (https://www.bohnen-atlas.de/sorten/s...i-s-ungarische).

I'm wondering what the connection between these two varieties might be, whether anyone else has grown Salewski's Ungarn and, if so, how it did for them.
A small amount of googling suggests that Ungarn means Hungary and Ungarische Hungarian. The latter seems more likely as part of a name. And who, come to that, might Salewski be?
