Baby Belle Aubergine F1

Just about, a few things have been pushed out or moved to another spot. I recently changed my setup and I'm now using a shelf rack on wheels. Currently, I have it consisting of 3 shelves, the bottom one gives me a growing height of 50 cms. I'm hoping it doesn't grow up or out too much more.

That’s amazing. Have you still got space under lights for a pot and plant that big?

I was aiming to keep the pot size at 3-litre, but as the plant is doing so well I potted it on into a 5-litre pot yesterday. It had a mass of roots and I think the larger pot size will be beneficial. The plant, from soil to tip of the tallest leaf is currently 25cm. The first fruit that set is approx 10 cm long and the second one is around 4 cm.

Once I started looking after it right, it's thrived.

Wow aubergines was this the plant that was struggling at the beginning?

Exciting, just the one so far, loving the gardening. The second aubergine plant is a little behind in growth as I wasn't going to keep it under lights and then changed my mind.

Thank you for this rallying cry! I loved your assessment of this precise moment in the growing year which I recognise so well.
And yes, enormously enjoyable to plan, research, prepare, imagine, expand. Only today my partner was encouraging me to carve out another bed in the meadow I’m ‘borrowing’. It took only two minutes to shift from feeling I was operating at full capacity maintenance-wise to finding myself allured and seduced by the prospect of yet more growing space.
