The Crown x's I made seem to have disappeared which is a shame, I think I left them out too long and they ended up as a meal for a furry critter.

I'm not entirely sure what these crosses will bring, I know pink flowered x purple podded brought pink/red podded offspring, but will Unity's colour impact on pod colour do you think? And what about a pink x Unity, diferent shades perhaps?

So happy you got mature seeds, you were doubtful at one stage Sorry the crosses with crown peas vanished, too bad! No I don't know either, but let's hope we will find out before long. Congratulations.

I don't think Unity's cr will affect pod colour at all, but who knows?

Crossing Unity with a pink (b) flower will give 9/16 purple (B_Cr_), 3/16 crimson (B_crcr), 3/16 pink (bbCr_), and 1/16 "antique rose pink" (bbcrcr).

The Alderman x Unity and Sugar Magnolia x Unity especially - but then I love tall peas

Hope a cross with a standard pink will work out too. Another colour for the amazing crown pea project. How many shades of pink flowers can there be? Hope they will all do well next spring.

John Innes Pgenes database says that Unity's cr gene will affect 'flower and generative apparatus'. Not quite sure what is included in this term, could it be pods are included?

Interesting, I don't know if that covers the pods as well?

I wasn't sure if cr might affect Sugar Magnolia, perhaps this will be the closest I'll get to a pink flowered purple podded pea?

Is a crimson flower with purple pod doable?

I'm seeing an intertwined mixed bunch of lovely pink, crimson, purple and white flowers with a mix of green, yellow, purple, pink and red pods! Wow, wow riot

Yes, I think it's entirely possible.

I'm hoping so, getting them sown would help though!
