  • Vitelotte

Well after Thickening the plot's interesting posts in Preparations for getting TPS I got all enthusiastic about giving Vitelotte another growing session. I'd like to see if I can manage a better crop of tubers and would love some tps to play around with and maybe some crosses if I'm really lucky. Seed potatoes came from Tuckers and due to their small size there are far more in the bag than I'll be planting. I've hopefully shared some with willing growers.

Vitelotte, I should have added something for scale, but these ones are around 2" long.

Interesting colour variations amongst Vitelotte tubers.

Interesting. from my limited experience, I remember that they were just purple inside.

Me too, they may have had a slightly lighter ring towards the skin, but these are quite varied, I cut one to take a picture and then a few more to see. It got me wondering. I'll be interested to see if all the crop of individual plants is the same or not?
